The perfect combo of low-key and eccentric, Tanieka was born in the beachy metropolis of Miami, Florida to Mother of Kingston, Jamaica and Father of Georgetown, Guyana. She grew up deeply rooted in culture, spending weekends on a soccer field with an Uncle and Dad who religiously played soccer, competing mostly against Spanish speaking teams across South and Central Florida. During school years, she inevitably found herself on either the school choir, theater, dance class, modeling or doing the school news. After attending a couple of performance camps she became sweetly bitten by the acting bug and became heavily involved in local short skits and plays. Not initially thinking of a career in acting, she went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and opened a business of her own. Later acting took on a much deeper meaning and purpose. Tanieka has since been cast as a Principal in the upcoming Web Series “Perro Why Not”. She was also cast in the award-winning series “Bae Night”, currently in production for season 2 and cast for season 3. She has recently been selected as a Principal in a recent SAG Sleep Study commercial and knows no limits! Her resume keeps growing. An actress who inspires and is very aware of her role to play the lives of others on screen, Tanieka is becoming and embodying the change she wishes to see in culture and humanity.
